Schuyler House
Schuyler House Collegetown [map]
A residence for undergraduate, transfer, and graduate students.

Schuyler House is located between lower Collegetown and the heart of downtown Ithaca, close to restaurants, shopping, coffee houses, and social gathering spots. It is a 15- to 20-minute uphill walk to classes on Central Campus, and is also served by frequent buses to campus.

For the 2010 academic year, Schuyler House will be home to the Transfer Student Community -- a group of transfer students living together in a residence-hall environment -- along with a small population of continuing upperlevel undergraduate students and graduate students.

Rooms in Schuyler House are arranged in the style of a traditional residence hall, on corridors with shared bathrooms, kitchen facilities, and laundry rooms. Common gathering spaces include lounges, TV rooms, and a study room.

Transfer students living in Schuyler House can purchase the Collegetown Debit Plan for their meal plan, which includes tax-exempt "Big Red Bucks" to purchase meals at any Cornell dining location, plus a limited number of meals in Cornell's All Your Care To Eat dining rooms. If you prefer to eat some or all meals at off-campus establishments, Cornell dining's "City Bucks" can be used to make pre-tax food purchases at participating businesses.
