Court-Kay-Bauer Hall is a combination of three connected residence halls that opened in the fall of 2001. This smoke-free residence houses 279 first-year students, 9 Resident Assistants, 1 Program Assistant, 1 Residence Hall Director, and a Faculty in Residence. In addition, 3 Faculty Fellows visit the community to do programming and to interact with students.

Court-Kay-Bauer is a four-story modern building with a cheerful and colorful design scheme. The first floor contains community space and offices while the other three floors are residential. Each residential floor is divided into three smaller communities of 31 students that have an individual Resident Assistant assigned to them. Court-Kay-Bauer has double and single rooms that open to a main hallway. Each floor has several restrooms designed to accommodate the five closest students and their guests. Also found on each floor are a study lounge, kitchen, and TV lounge. The first floor community space includes a large kitchen, laundry facilities, vending machines, bike storage room, and lounges designed for studying and programming. The building is air-conditioned and students' rooms are equipped with CUTV access and high-speed Internet connections.

This highly energetic community is situated in north campus and is centrally located. Three residence halls, a recreation facility, and the community center Appel Commons surround Court-Kay-Bauer. The Robert Purcell Community Center and Beebe Lake are in close proximity.

In order to help develop a living learning community, academic classes are held during the week in the multipurpose rooms on the first floor. In addition, the Court Hall staff along with the Faculty Fellows and Faculty in Residence work hard to provide programs and opportunities that meet students' academic and social needs.
